Diverse project types allow you to move around and try out different projects, typologies, etc. They win amazing projects. They are also very flexible about when you show and when you leave. Amazing marketing team gives the company incredible clout outside of the company.
A lot of the actual work is left for junior designers to complete without a lot of oversight. Although sometimes a great opportunity for them, the absence of mentorship is deterimental to career growth and becomes problematic during construction. The work life balance is lacking for anyone who wants to move up in the company.
Advice to Management
Listen. Focus on people's job experience more and less on extracurricular activities that are marketable.
