I applied online. I interviewed at Momentum Marketing Group (Cincinnati, OH) in September 2017.
This job had a vague listing on ZipRecruiter -- it didn't specify the company. I followed a link from a ZipRecruiter welcome email that was like, "you're a match" and I met all the qualifications and thought, "what the heck?" All you had to do to apply was click the button and they receive your profile. I was contacted within 24 hours by a cheerful person rattling off questions that made me realize this wasn't the PR/marketing role I was envisioning, it's selling products at "events." Sure enough, reading the reviews here, it seems like they'll hire anyone, make you sell bed sheets at Sam's Club, drive you to meet quotas and eventually recruit others. It seemed like a pyramid scheme to me, so I told her I'd like to review their website. "There really wasn't a lot of info in the job description," I said. "Yeah....," she kind of knowingly chuckled. I emailed and said I wasn't interested. I'm writing this even though it's all been said before, because I'm annoyed, and I think they post a ton of vague listings like this.
