    Interview

    I had a lengthy phone interview with a delightful employee. She made me want to come in and meet with the team.

    Interview: the office is literally in an apartment in Lincoln Park. I cannot imagine creating customer journeys and designing emails in this environment.

    After I met with the first person I spoke with via phone I was introduced to an investor. This is where they lost me. He met me with no kindness, and I felt like I was being grilled and more than once he rolled his eye before asking questions.

    Despite the fact that prior to my interview I’d provided their team with an entire roadmap to success, I felt like I was being asked rudimentary and surface level questions. I also don’t understand why acquisition and retention marketing would be split into 2 roles.

    I then met the HR coordinator. She was kind. But I felt in general just like the first interview was disorganized, aside from the first person I spoke with. I was disappointed because I was hoping to meet the CEO. There just wasn’t enough of a reason to leave my current role to even consider a move here. I had high hopes. I was let down.

    Oh, I never rec’d a thanks but no thanks email.
