I have been working at Monical's Pizza full-time (More than 10 years)
Great benefits for management and any general employee who works more than 1000 hours a year. Paid vacation for management and employees who have been with the company more than 5 years. Helpful upper management, regional trainer is only ever a call or text away. The company feels like one big family. We start employees just a tad over minimum wage but raises are given twice a year. There is always room for growth if you work at a corporate store. If you work hard and care, you will reap the benefits. 45 hour work week for management which is slim for the industry. One weekend off a month and super flexible scheduling.
As a manager, Fridays are required and if it is needed off, a vacation day must be used. I understand the usefulness of it, but working in a larger store, we have a management team of 5 including the 2 shift supervisors, so we can have our bases covered if needed. Also, the turnover rate for GMs is pretty low, so you may have to wait awhile for your shot at your own store.
Advice to Management
For upper management, just remember that nobody means to make mistakes and nobody wants anything falling through the cracks. Sometimes just running the store day to day is tough.
I applied in-person. The process took a week. I interviewed at Monical's Pizza (Champaign, IL) in June 2015.
Job was posted for internal employees. Interview took place at store that was hiring. The regional trainer of the sector, another neighboring regional trainer, and the human resource coordinator for the company were the interviewers. They asked about my experience with the company, in management, what I would do to make the store better, and why I wanted the position.
