Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Monsoon (Portland, OR) in Jun 2019

    Interview

    1st call was with CEO who vetted me personally before inviting me into the office to meet with the team.

    The team interview consisted of meeting with the CEO first, then the Sales/Implementations team and finally, with a Product Manager.

    After the in-person interview I had an additional call inviting me to the final stage, where I received a few written questions specific to my experience and the recent interview.

    Lastly, my references were called and I received and offer.
