Alan J. Fuerstman founded this ultra-luxury hotel and resort management company in 2002 to serve affluent travelers.
The word “montage” connotes a composite of closely juxtaposed elements, an artistic assemblage or compilation. Like its name, Montage is a management company with a collection of distinctive luxury hotels, resorts and residences conveying a shared dedication to comfortable elegance.
Unique experiences await at each location. Architecture that is authentic and true to its surroundings and décor inspired by each resort’s respective setting are Montage trademarks. This philosophy is evident everywhere, as in Montage Laguna Beach’s Craftsman-style design, reflective of the town’s artistic heritage; in Montage Beverly Hills’ Spanish Revival influences that showcase the history of a legendary city; and in Montage Deer Valley’s mountain lodge warmth and hospitality that echo the Western character of Park City, Utah.
To create an artistic collection of distinctive luxury hotels, resorts and residences in stunning settings that offer comfortable elegance, a unique sense of place, impeccable hospitality and inspired memorable culinary, spa and lifestyle experiences.
Montage is devoted to delivering an elevated guest experience. A key part of all Montage Hotels & Resorts is a commitment to refined living. Guests can expect impeccable hospitality, exceptional epicurean experiences, world class spas and an elegant yet welcoming ambiance with the goal of creating lasting and cherished memories.
Pursuing this vision is a dedicated team of talented individuals with decades of experience in the art of hospitality. Knowledge and passion for exceptional personalized service are the foundation upon which this property management company is built, and these desires are infused in each destination.

We live by a simple idea, “Know Thyself.” And like you, we know what defines us. Born into the lineage of Montage Hotels& Resorts, we instinctively value impeccable service and unrivaled guest experiences. Yet at Pendry, history and tradition serve as a canvas to create something entirely new and different. We believe that wandering and living well are not mutually exclusive…and sometimes a stiff drink solves everything.
Travel enhances perspective; by embedding ourselves in intriguing cities we’ve been truly inspired. At each of our locations, we’ve embraced the art, music, design, eccentricities and culture of the neighborhood, combining them all with our unspoken list of non-negotiables: simple luxury, clean design, well-crafted restaurant experiences, vibrant bars and that perfect balance of polished comfort and modern edge.
Our heritage promises an elevated experience and first-rate amenities; our taste for rebellion ensures character. At Pendry, we’ve captured all that you’ve been missing in a hotel establishment.
Born into the lineage of Montage Hotels & Resorts, Pendry is unlike any other. The British surname Pendry embraces “Know Thyself” as its family motto. This philosophy is woven throughout every fiber of the brand.
With an instinctive ability to host, a Pendry associate is inspired to take a personal sense of ownership in creating truly memorable experiences for each guest. Our associates are real, honest, and passionate.
It’s an exciting time at Pendry. With two properties in the making, we are busy looking for inspired and passionate hosts who are seeking unique adventures, whether they are set at Pendry San Diego or Sagamore Pendry Baltimore.
Let’s get to know each other.
I worked at Montage Hotels & Resorts part-time
this place was awesome for the summer
there were no cons at all
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Montage Hotels & Resorts (Beverly Hills, CA).
Applied online and received a first phone screening 3 days later from the hiring manager. Brief conversation, asked why I applied, what my goals were, etc. His assistant called me back that same day to schedule an in person interview with HR. I met with HR for about 30 mins, asking standard questions such as 5 words that describe me, what do I know about the company, etc. Then they had me wait for a bit as the hiring manager was going to interview me next. I met with him for another 30 minutes or so and he gave me a better understanding of what the role was. Then I met with the department head of Catering, this time it was more of a conversation rather than an interview which was nice. After that, he told me the next step would be a panel interview. Come prepared to panel as you will interview with executives and the GM (about 5 people all at once). Overall, great interview experience as they are selective with who they choose but if you haven't gone through a similar process then it may seem overwhelming! Do your homework!
