I have been working at Monterrey Security part-time (More than a year)
There are some nice events to be worked.
Flexible schedule by event
Pay is too low for the work that has to be done
Crowds at specific events can get out of hand
Upper management all look out for each other and not for you (Not all) (I.E. you will be removed from schedule if someone else that is well known is available. Not how it is advertised as first come)
Days worked will be lost resulting in no pay for some events
Major favoritism within the company
Plenty of high school students that don't know a single thing about customer service or security
Not any education on what security is unless specifically asked to become a security officer instead of event staff.
Advice to Management
Change from ABI to a different scheduling system. Teach some basic skills, make sure the people you are hiring for the personality you look for. Stop hiring people that are barely freshman in high school.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Monterrey Security (Minneapolis, MN).
Easy, Simple, Understandable. It was easy to understand, they were straight to the point and simple, but lastly, they didn't need to be asked too many questions, they very well explained everything needed to be known.
