  1. Executive Assistant Interview

    Average Interview

I applied online. I interviewed at Moov Technologies (United States)

1st round is an assessment and personality test, 2nd with recruiter, 3rd round with CEO, rejected after.

In this day and age, when a CEO tells me in the beginning of the interview that he is very straightforward, works 18 hours a day, and has no time for anything, I run. It tells me that whoever is filling this role will be overworked and talked down a lot. The interview was more of him throwing situational "what would you do if..." cases.

On the other hand, my 1st round was an assessment. There were some math questions thrown in there (long division, percentages, multiplication) and along with some reading comprehension and then a personality test. It felt like a waste of time because they really used the personality test to see if you mesh with the CEO and he'll use it to pick at your results during your interview and have you elaborate why you think you got that result. Then he basically told me that I scored really strongly in a certain category and even though it was a good thing, it also wasn't.

2nd round with the recruiter went well. She asked great questions and was very informative of the process and role. However, I got a bad impression afterwards when I was automatically scheduled a 2nd interview without being asked on my availability. Then when I said the times didn't work, I was pushed back hard on "we are moving fast" and none of the availability I gave worked. I moved around my entire day for a 1 hour interview turning out to be half an hour because CEO has another meeting and didn't know why it was scheduled as an hour. Ok...sounds unorganized. It also wasn't initially communicated to me that they needed someone asap either. This left quite a sour taste in my mouth. Are you that desperate that you can't do the interview 1 day later? And do you not value my own time where you basically tell me I have to do the interview the next day or the morning of the day after?

Interview ended with CEO telling me that 100 people applied so there was a lot to choose from basically. I was glad I didn't get picked.
