Interview
I showed up to an interview fair around Lunch (Which in hindsight was a poor decision lol) and after some waiting was invited with other applicants to wait some more for a supervisor. Interview was pretty standard, and the gentleman took my resume, shook my hand and said to expect a call (whether good or bad) in the evening or the next day at the latest. It has been over a week and I never received any news, I'd be fine if they called and said I wasn't a good fit or the roles were filled, however to just be ghosted was very unprofessional. First time in my professional career someone shook my hand, looked me in the eye and lied to me? Or maybe the onus was on HR. Unsure, again because I never heard anything. Additionally, they are very serious about safety, which I completely understand in a factory environment. However, in the meeting room (AV/Video presentation room) They had romex 10/2 coming out the wall (Southwest corner) to hardwire a speaker, with bare ground wire exposed. That is a NEC violation and I believe a fire code violation. Take that as you will, otherwise seemed like a nice friendly environment to work in.InterviewWhat was your attendance like at previous company Are you comfortable walking up to 12,000 steps per shift Are you comfortable with overnight shift/overtime Who is responsible for your safety? Safety is 3-6-5 24/7 here at Morton salt, what was a time, if any, you implemented or improved upon safety measures at any of your previous employers.
