I worked at Motricity (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great colleagues
Good place to start a career; Lots of opportunities to grow and learn (wear many hats)
Managers and director-level management were very sharp and talented
    Ability to gain practical experience

    Cons

Poorly managed by executives; unclear business direction
    Regular layoffs/down-sizing
Workload did not always match title
Disconnect between contributors and executive management

    Advice to Management

Inability to pick a direction and move forward with a single business strategy kept the business floundering and spinning in circles. Talented staff were trying to keep up with ever-changing direction.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Motricity (Raleigh, NC).

    Interview

    Initial contact was fine.
Contacted by HR, and hiring manager.
Called for in person interview - three people interviewed me (including the hiring manager)

    Interview Questions

    • There were no real difficult questions, nothing like a book answer will not have satisfied the interviewers. No brain teaser (which seems to be the norm these days).   Answer Question
