Motus – Why Work For Us?

We believe in working smart, working happy, and working healthy--and we've built our work environment around those principles to ensure they're a reality for all our team members.

You should love what you do, and who you do it with. We hire people we want to spend time with--both in and out of the office. Our downtown office has unreal views of the city, a fully-stocked kitchen, and lots of space to collaborate. We do everything we can to make life more fun and less stressful for our team members, from Happy Hours and philanthropy days to a 401k match and student loan reimbursement.

Staying healthy is important. When we feel good, we're more creative, focused, and prepared to drive the business forward. From FitBit challenges to group workouts and sponsored gym memberships, standing desks to a fully-stocked healthy snack bar, meditation workshops to flu-shot clinics, and even mid-day yoga breaks, we prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of our team members.

This is all about having the flexibility, tools, and empowerment to execute on our goals in the way that makes the most sense for us. We measure ourselves based on results rather than the amount of time we spend at our desks. We trust our team members to work where they want, and how they want, and provide the structure and infrastructure to support innovation, collaboration, and career advancement.

We’re committed to making WorkLife better—for our users and our own team members. In today’s world, the line between Work and Life is blurred, and it’s become harder and harder to find time to do the things that matter most. We believe technology can solve that. At Motus, our technology helps our users find new efficiencies in their WorkLife, and that gives them time back.

    Average Interview

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Motus (Boston, MA).

First round was a 30-minute phone call that consisted of very basic questions. The second round was a 2 and a half hour in-person series of interview with 5 members of Motus at their headquarters in Boston. Then the final round is a business case where you're given a scenario and your job is to interpret the data using EXCEL and present it to a group of about 10 people.

    Interview Questions

    • The most difficult part of the interview was definitely the business case. As someone with no business knowledge, it was difficult and some of the questions they asked I did not have the best of most astute answers.   Answer Question
