I worked at Mount Washington College as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great support from Department Chair. Was kept informed of new process and given the tools to perform your job with decent pay for term contract.

    Cons

Low enrollment for the college, less contracts given, possible closure of college.

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Mount Washington College (Nashua, NH) in May 2011.

    Interview

They start by inviting several candidates to an information seminar/interview. They explain the job and company in detail and what you would be required to do day to day. They then have a break and anyone still not interested can leave. Those remaining are given a chance to explain who they are and why they might make a good fit. After that, you go home and wait for the call. There are more interviews with the Director of Admissions and then higher up the chain.

    Interview Questions

    • Some out of the box questions are asked, and to anticipate what you felt they wanted to know wasn't obvious.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I had to state what I could minimally live on and an offer was made. There were commissions at that stage, but now there are not.
