I have been working at Mountain View Medical Group full-time (More than a year)
Competitive salary at hire Autonomy Multiple sites/offices Good supporting staff from other departments.
Nepotism in management resulting in no accountability. Luck to get a performance evaluation. No metrics for performance evaluations save for personal opinion, perception and word of mouth from management. Security lacking. HIPAA compliance very lacking. On-call policy suspect. Overtime pay based on 45 hour work week instead of 40 for non-exempt employees (OT pay approx. time+1/4) Poor medical benefits for a company owned by doctors. Very poor communication. Haphazard knowledge base with unclear policies and procedures. Unclear roles and responsibilities but expected to "just figure it out" regardless of issue. Different job titles for each person with no real difference in role or responsibilities. Deceitful inter-office hiring practices (submissions for consideration often held back w/o reason or notification). No tuition reimbursement program.
Advice to Management
Stop appeasing "key" employees (often doctors and the billing manager) at the cost of the employees well being, position and disposition. Force management to comply and adhere to the same company guidelines as all other employees must do. Replace current IT / IS Manager.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mountain View Medical Group (Colorado Springs, CO) in January 2012.
I went to interview with this group yesterday, OMG . Whoever was the lady that did the interview acted like a bulldog ready to act you. That's sad when you go to an interview and feel people are attacking you, instead of trying to hire you.
