I worked at Mutual Materials Company full-time (Less than a year)
They are a great bunch of people, very family orientated.
There's no room for advancement and upward growth. The company executives consist of old men and are holding back the company from new blood and a more modern approach on the company.
Advice to Management
Hire young blood in advance positions and embrace change. Fire those individuals not contributing to the company, especially the ones that sleep at work.
I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Mutual Materials Company (Lakewood, WA) in November 2014.
Typical one on one interview. Notable moments include being interviewed for a job that was supposed to be vacant and available and then two weeks later finding out that person decided to stay and that they could only offer what amounted to an assistant position instead. The benefits offered also turned out to be decidedly different upon being hired.
