I worked at MyVest full-time (More than 3 years)
Culture - Diverse, collaborative, MyVest enables to employees to grow at their own pace and, when ready, take leadership roles on key projects.
Compensation - Very good pay from a stable, tech company. Pay is very good, bonuses are excellent.
Career Path - MyVest does a great job of laying out career path ways, particularly for engineers. They also encourage lateral movement so that individuals can gain experience in multiple capacities.
Training / Onboarding - As one would expect from a smaller company, on-boarding and training is somewhat informal. For some employees, ramping up can be a challenge.
Advice to Management
One of the most attractive aspects of MyVest is the flexibility allowed to employees of all levels for both PTO and remote work. Continue to promote this value as you continue to expand your talent pool radius as well as build loyalty among existing employees.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MyVest (San Francisco, CA) in February 2017.
The process took 2 weeks. Contacted by HR and followed up by a coordinator to setup the call with one of the engineers. Simple phone interview and got a call same day to come for onsite. 2 technical along with 1 with the Hiring Manager. Planned meeting with the VP didn't happen. Later got a mail to attend one more phone interview and after that got the mail saying that they are looking for the best fit for this role. Overall got a good feel of the team and what they do. The work environment was good.
