I have been working at NASA Ames Research Center full-time
This is a place where basic r&d is done.
Whether testing the newest flight hardware in the world's biggest wind-tunnel complex, through advances in infrared astronomy, to discoveries of world's around distant suns through the Kepler project.
Among more down-to-earth benefits, are a Health Unit, a Gym to work out and a cafeteria to eat out plus 2 other eateries at different parts of Moffett Field.
They have events at Ames from conferences throughout the year to bbqs during the summer.
Please visit the NASA Ames website for more information.
None that I can think of at this time.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NASA Ames Research Center (Mountain View, CA) in November 2016.
I submitted my application through my college job boards and received a call from the agency within 3 days. From then, I scheduled an interview for 3 days after the call. When I showed up to the interview, I was seated in front of four panels of 3 current staff members, including, at some points, senior members and recent hires. The entire interview took roughly four hours to complete.
