cutting edge infrastructure engineering work - support the Navy's mission at bases all over the world. Work with really smart people.
Organization is confusing to anyone not on the inside. this makes it difficult to successfully support customers. Bureaucracy is horrendous, especially when it comes to hiring and managing people.
Advice to Management
Clearer and more streamlined policy from Headquarters is needed. Also need to better partner with our Navy customers.
I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at NAVFAC.
I applied on USAJobs in the middle of October. I was then told that my application had been referred to hiring authority during the first week of December. I received an email on scheduling a phone interview a week afterwards, and during the phone interview I was told that they would receive a decision in approximately two weeks.
