The company had bright people, good technology portfolio and excellent customer base. The company fostered a collaborative work culture. Took good care of it's employees.
While the company had good benefits and base compensation package, it needed a stock-option type compensation structure to help retain and attract outstanding talent.
Advice to Management
Create incentives for employees to innovate, and take more risks to expand
I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at NEC Electronics (Mountain View, CA) in April 2014.
This was in internal move/promotional opportunity. Met with HR then the hiring manager. Had a round of interviews with the executive team. They gave everyone a homework project to complete and present. Had an offsite drink with the hiring manager to discuss their offer.
