I worked at NEH as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many warm, passionate staffers; autonomy; will work on some projects that are helpful

    Cons

Some people there are cold and bureaucratic, a lot of time doing nothing

    Interview

Was contacted a few weeks after submitting my application for a 30 minute phone interview. Was asked questions about my interest in the agency, and my aptitude for/experience with the kinds of work interns would be expected to do. Interviewers were very friendly and informative.
