I worked at NESN part-time (More than a year)
I worked in operations and production so I can only speak for them but they were all great to work with. Everyone is very willing to help you succeed and are fun to be around.
Horrible hours but thats just what you get in a news environment. Forced to work a lot of holidays and dont get to see your family much. Be read for a lot of long nights and weekend work. Not much room for advancement
Advice to Management
Pre-tape your shows on important holidays like christmas or thanksgiving to give your employees time to see their families. No half hour show is worth having every employee unhappy.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NESN (Watertown, MA).
Talked to an HR rep for 15 minutes. Said the position is all logging and prompting. $16.11/hr with overtime. Then came an in person interview with an ancient history sports quiz. In the interview I was asked to name the Red Sox pitching rotation and what the Bruins should improve on.
