Mission: NISA's founders, Jess Yawitz and Bill Marshall, began their careers as professors at Washington University in St. Louis, where they were early pioneers in research on fixed income investing and the concepts of interest rate risk management and immunization ...
I have been working at NISA Investment Advisors full-time (More than a year)
-Free breakfast and lunch
- great company culture
- lots of opportunities to learn new things
- gym on-site
- office is awesome and has standing desks
- living in St. Louis
- sometimes the work can be boring
- smaller firm, so opportunities for advancement aren’t readily available
I was approached by them as a candidate. They asked that I take a half day off from work to interview with several different people. After about two and a half hours I was then told the next two gentlemen were in an emergency meeting and that everyone had loved me and they would reschedule and that they were really sorry for the inconvenience. I never heard back again.
Being ushered out of an interview that I took PTO to attend was annoying. If I wasn't a fit, tell me. If I was and just never heard back... Also unprofessional.
