I worked at NSW Department of Health (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Low pressure work environment, nice colleagues and management, pretty good pay for the work required. Overall a good place to work.

    Cons

Not ideal for people with ambition. Colleagues can be quite complacent as they have a comfortable job with good pay and good benefits.

    Advice to Management

Give people more accountability, it may motivate them to perform better. But more importantly, focus on the state's problem hospitals, they need stronger supervision/governance.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at NSW Department of Health.

    Interview

After I applied online, I received an email within a week informing me about selection for the interview. Was required to complete and print multiple forms to be taken on the day. It was a panel interview with four panellists, very formal interview process as expected. Even though I did not get through, they were kind enough to give me feedback on what was missing v/s what they were looking for and some things that I could improve on.
