I have been working at NYU (New York University) full-time (More than 3 years)
Great colleagues, a supportive and exciting environment for instruction and research, extensive collections, pretty healthy work environment. People are not hung up on punctuality which is a big pro for me personally lol.
The salaries for librarian are not great relative to the cost of living in NYC, the NYU Libraries are also a very large organization so it takes a while to get to know everyone in the different departments. It's very busy in certain parts of the year, so it can be a stressful job at times too. But if you like a fast-paced library that can also be a good thing.
Advice to Management
Be more transparent about benefits (like faculty housing!) and salaries. Make more profess on innovative UX and discovery systems for libraries.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NYU (New York University) (New York, NY).
There was an online application where you told them about yourselves. After that, there was an online interview where you submitted 3-5 questions about yourself. Then there was a group interview with around 9 people where they gave you potential scenarios and you had to react to them.
