I worked at Nammo Talley full-time (More than 10 years)
Plenty of work working for the Quality Dept. when contracts are flowing in. I had much to do when working in the metrology lab. Always new things to learn year after year.
Dependent on the Gov't. spending to create contracts. No one is really bullet proof, when the layoffs came around and hit me.
Advice to Management
Work those customer/government contracts for the future of company to sustain good dependable workers from leaving with exceptional knowledge and training.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Nammo Talley (Mesa, AZ).
Great, I accepted their offer whitch was increased 1K before I arrived.
