Work can be slow at times. Its a project-based company, so if there aren't a lot of projects on the bill, the office seems slow. Not a lot of top-down communication. Almost no upward mobility.

Engage lower-level employees more actively.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at National Academy of Public Administration (Washington, DC) in April 2014.
I only had a phone interview because I started out as an intern. Very basic interview. I was asked simple questions about why I wanted to work in public policy/administration, why I chose my major, and what skills I could bring to the work place.
