We offer six weeks of in-depth paid training and provide you with all the tools you need to be successful in inside sales.
Training covers the overall Property & Casualty insurance industry, National General Products and Systems, and proven sales techniques to empower you for success. Don’t have your Property and Casualty License? Not a problem! Training will cover the necessary classes to prepare for the P&C licensing exam. Come grow your sales skillset with NGIC!
Insurance Service Representatives participate in a six week in-house paid training program.
We cover the foundations of the insurance industry and how to utilize that knowledge in real-world customer service situations. You’ll also learn state specific variations in insurance and how to navigate our Knowledge Management System to ensure ongoing service accuracy. In addition, you’ll learn crucial billing functions which include payment processing and complex billing resolution techniques. We will help you develop the skills needed to provide superior customer service for our world-class insurance organization!
Our four week comprehensive paid training program for our Claims Trainees and Representatives sets us apart from the competition!
The program will cover “Insurance 101”, Claims Philosophies and Guidelines, and licensing (if needed). Learn everything you need to know about policy language and Good Faith claims handling. You’ll be provided with all the tools you need to properly investigate claims with an emphasis on coverages and liability determination. Additionally, you’ll learn file documentation and desk management procedures to efficiently process claims.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at National General Insurance (Portland, OR).
I applied online and immediately was contacted for a phone interview. At the scheduled time, however, she never called. I emailed her to find out what happened and rescheduled the interview. However, I was really sick on the day of the interview, so I emailed her beforehand to ask if we could try a different time. She didn't respond to my email until hours later and had called me anyway for the interview. However, she was more than 10 minutes overdue from our scheduled time. We scheduled the interview for a third time, and once again I sat by my phone waiting for half an hour for her to call. I'm not sure if it's just the recruiter or if the company itself is this disorganized, but it's quite rude to be late for an interview three times in a row.
