I have been working at National Grid full-time (Less than a year)
Good job security, friendly people to work with, and a nice atmosphere with opportunities to grow and develop professionally
The company's constant restructuring makes it difficult for the company to really thrive, as once things settle down, everything is turned upside down causing lack of continuity and passion among employees
Advice to Management
I would advise management to be more strategic and have a better path aligned for its employees. Expenses should also be tracked better as the company's money goes a great deal toward things that are unneeded.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at National Grid (Hicksville, NY) in September 2015.
The initial interview consisted of two parts; a typing test (20wpm) whick I passed. After that, I had to do the "clerical assessment test whick was almost two hours long!!! I didnt think I was going to do the second part of the test.and did not come prepared. I wish I would have known that it was going to be for a while so that I could have taken my time.
