I have been working at National Wildlife Federation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

True dedication among dat-to-day workers in each of their fields

    Cons

Reluctance by staff to cross paths to help each other accomplish goals— possibly because once you help, some start to ask too much. Still, management helps protect staff from being taken advantage of when they can.

    Advice to Management

Encourage and support healthy teamwork between diverse groups, and avoid using "This is the way we always have done it" as an excuse.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at National Wildlife Federation in February 2014.

    Interview

Relatively efficient process from beginning (phone screen) to end (offer acceptance). Interviewing panel was professional, but also very warm. Laughs were welcomed. Hiring team tested critical thinking knowledge (as opposed to resume skill set).

    Negotiation

Company was very responsive. Negotiation process took a total of 2 days.
