    I have been working at Nav full-time (More than a year)


    I have been working at Nav for 2 years and have seen a lot of changes. The reviews that talk about how hard these changes have been on the company aren’t wrong. There has been a lot of changes here, and I will tell you that for those of us who have been working our butt off to make this place great are all in favor of these changes. We are finally holding people accountable to deliver results, and it is nice to finally have a strategy that everyone is working towards. I love the changes that the new CEO is making, and I am so excited about the future of Nav.

    I am also so proud to work for a company that believes and acts on their mission. I have been a part of companies where the people believed in the mission, but nothing like I experience at Nav. Here the mission is a part of everyone’s DNA, and the passion and energy they bring to Nav every day to fix the access to capital sh*t show is the reason I want to come every day.

    So the people that have written that you should stay away from Nav are correct – this place isn’t for everyone. If you are the type of person that is committed to making a difference, having real impact on the lives of small business owners, and you aren’t afraid of a little hard work this is the BEST place to be. If you aren’t that person no worries, there are lots of places out there to work.

    The transparency around compensation, how the business is performing, the decisions being made or aren’t being made from the top, and our ability to provide feedback every day is amazing.

    The leadership team here is awesome. I have a lot of confidence and trust in my manager. I know she cares about me personally and has my back.

    My manager is committed to having regular 1:1’s with me, and the company just launch a personal development program – who does that at a start up??? Oh Nav does!!

    The flexibility around work hours and working remotely is so cool. We just took the entire company remote this week, and in my eyes it was a seamless transition.

    Walt’s breakfast sandwiches – east coast style – man these are the best

    We have a wicked smart diverse engineering team, who thinks outside the box and have solved some really hard problems.

    I love the new exec leaders that have recently joined Nav. They have had an immediate positive impact and are so easy to get along with.

    The company’s commitment to really supporting diversity, and making sure that diversity is equally represented at the company is really unique for Utah.


    I wish we had a 401k match

    At times the drama and rumors people make up is exhausting to listen too, and I wish people who didn't like the new direction of Nav would move on instead of distracting us with their negativity.

    I miss the interaction we used to have with the founders. They are both super cool guys. Levi's stories are so funny.

    At times I wish the dad jokes where funnier - sorry greg but some are bad - keep trying though

    Advice to Management

    Don't get discouraged by the comments being left from former employees. There are way more of us who are still here and we are excited and happy to be with Nav.

    I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Nav (Draper, UT) in August 2020.


    I had a phone interview with one of the recruiters and then had a Zoom interview with the hiring manager, supervisor and peer of the department a few days later. After the Zoom interview I received an offer a few days later. From there it was just a simple background check and a drug screen.
