I worked at Navy Lodge full-time (More than a year)
Great coworkers, good pay, fantastic guests.
Manager had no idea what she was doing. Never charged guests if they ruined things. Let's them get away with unruly dogs and children running down the halls.
Advice to Management
Realize that you are a manager, and not a friend. You are there to better the Navy Lodge name. You make it look like a company of pushovers by letting the customers degrade staff racially and also by not letting your guests that there are rules. Its a hotel, not a dorm. Nor a playground for screaming children
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Navy Lodge (Groton, CT) in November 2008.
Pretty simple, be out going, dressed nice and ready to learn. It can ake a few weeks. The best thing you can do is call back and check on the job. When you call they know you really want the job!
there was none
