We Stand Taller because we dare to make every day better. To give it our all. To put our name on the work we do. Doing the right things right. Making our work matter. Why? Because we care. We’re inspired by the words of our founder, William Danforth, who believed that integrity, passion, expertise and performance are the keys to Standing Taller and making good lives better.
And it’s our people who clear the path to extraordinary. It takes every one of us from every discipline to push pet nutrition forward. Our belief that pets and people are better together is a reflection of the work we do every day – our reason for coming into work in the morning. Innovation, purpose and impact are why we stay.
With a rich history of accomplishments that stretches back more than a century, we’re proud to be part of the Nestlé family, giving us the global resources needed to advance the science of nutrition, health, wellness and pet care products for millions of customers and growing. This is a story – a Tall Tail – you’re invited to be part of. Join us in enriching the bonds between pets and people. Working together, #WeStandTaller.

Not sure where to begin your job search?
I have been working at Nestlé Purina PetCare full-time (More than 5 years)
I absolutely love coming to work for NPPC everyday. The culture is second to none and over the years my work team has become like family. My immediate management and department leadership are both supportive and engaged in development and employee satisfaction, and it has led to opportunities for project work and growth. At this point, I can't imagine working somewhere else.
There are lots of perks for associates - fitness center, daycare, flex time and remote work capabilities, tons of events and volunteer opportunities, medical department, company store and discount programs, corporate library, mentor programs, a huge catalog of personal and professional development resources, and of course - pets at work! We can take advantage of tuition reimbursement, pet adoption reimbursement, discounts on Nestle and Purina products, a new 6 month maternity leave, adoption reimbursement, and so much more.
The company puts a lot of emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement, not only in our products and sales, but also in programming and employee satisfaction. The company is dedicated to being a good corporate citizen, and does a ton of work giving back to the community. This is a company you can be really proud to work for, that stands behind its products and values, and empowers its employees to do great work. It's not at all surprising that we have so many people who have dedicated 20, 30, 40, and more years of their lives here.
This is a big company that can be a little flat, and it has its share of corporate bureaucracy. Upward mobility can take time and patience. It's really easy to get siloed in our individual work areas/projects, so the ability to work cross-functionally is a huge area of opportunity.
Advice to Management
Keep pushing for more transparency, more diversity (especially in management teams), and more innovation. Be open to non-traditional work structures!
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Nestlé Purina PetCare (Saint Louis, MO).
I received a call to set up an phone interview. A few days later I had my phone interview which lasted approximately 30 minutes. I was asked various standard HR questions, talked through my resume and answered two behavior based questions. Although the questions were difficult I was informed of the style when I scheduled the interview and was also given links to websites to help me prepare. Within a week I got a call back for a face to face interview. The interview was conducted at Nestle Purina Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. The interview consisted of meeting face to face with three individuals. The first interviewer had me review my resume along with answering four behavior based questions. Each of the following two interviewers also had four behavior based questions for me to answer. I was told I would hear back within a week concerning the decision making outcome. It was a full week before I received an email that they had chosen to go in another direction. About a month later I received a call from the hiring manger offering me a newly created position.
