We Stand Taller because we dare to make every day better. To give it our all. To put our name on the work we do. Doing the right things right. Making our work matter. Why? Because we care. We’re inspired by the words of our founder, William Danforth, who believed that integrity, ...
Mission: We stand for trust. We earn it every day as we enrich the lives of pets and the people who love them. We are guided by our core values – The Five Talls, as we move toward the future of Nestlé Purina – the day when a Checkerboard is in every involved pet owner’s home.

“As we launch the fourth year of the Dog Chow Service Dog Salute campaign, I am honored to share the story of three veterans and their unique journeys of hope and healing alongside a PTSD service dog. These veterans opened their hearts and homes to us so that we could help communicate the life-changing impact these service dogs have. It’s the ultimate example of how pets and people are better together. It’s a big responsibility for Dog Chow. And for Purina. And one that we are proud to take on.” -Stephanie, Brand Marketing Manager

Upon joining the Product Supply team in Talent Acquisition with Nestlé Purina, Vanessa was immediately given the opportunity to use her bilingual skills in speaking with candidates applying for positions with factories in predominantly Hispanic/Latinx communities. She has been able to assist candidates for whom English wasn't their primary language by switching to Spanish to explain certain parts of the assessment process, and then asking them to answer in English. She takes joy in seeing candidates who might have otherwise not advanced get hired into roles and excel, adding value to our factories and to their own lives.

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. I interviewed at Nestlé Purina U.S. (Saint Louis, MO)

Phone screen and short interview followed by more formal interview process. HR talent representatives provide a lot of support and talk you through what to expect and how to prepare for in-person (now virtual) interviews.

More formal part was three rounds, each with two senior brand managers or directors. Important to remember they want you to succeed! It's a chance to demonstrate what you know and what you've done but also who you are.

Classic STAR-style interview questions that range from technical to relationship skills. Questions like "Tell us about a successful project you worked on," "Talk us through an ethical dilemma you face," "Tell us about a time you solved an interpersonal conflict."
