The prestigeless and caring attitude creates an team-spirit and engaging community.
One example is that consulting, sales and recruitment is three equal important processes, they have equal salaries and they don't have variable salaries dependant on individual performance, it's the overall performance of the company. It's very sympathetic.
If you like, you'll get the opportunity to take a lot responsibility and get a lot of support as well, it creates a efficent and including way to grow.
Some people feel more secure and thrive with a clearer structure and heiarchy. Nothing wrong with that, but that's not what you'll find here.
Since it's an network organization some decisions tend to involve too many people, it can be a "luxury problem" that people care and are very caring and engaged, but sometimes it may take too long.
Advice to Management
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Netlight.
I had three interviews. One over Skype with HR, one with two consuls, and one with a partner. The HR interview was standard but the one with the consults were very challenging for me. We virtually did not discuss programming at all, instead, I was given a case and presented my solution for the consults that acted as customers. The interview with the partner was a soft discussion about my goals and experience.
