Mid-size company means you have regular contact with leadership and can comfortably have conversations about career opportunities. Founders care about company culture and employee moral. Corporate office is in a great location in a brand new beautiful office and company usually allows a lot of flexibility in your work hours.
Processes for advancement can take a long time and isn't very organized.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Neudesic (Seattle, WA) in October 2017.
I was referred by another employee who also interviewed me along with an HR recruiter and the hiring manager. All interviews went well. Everyone was pleasant and encouraging. I was told I did not have deep developments skills. This surprised me that this was required for a Director role but every company defines it differently.
