I have been working at New Age Marketing Inc full-time (Less than a year)
I get to build a team. They let me be a part of the hiring process. I get to decide if I want to hire the person they interview for my team or let them go to another team. I am in control of who is hired here.
I have to let people go . I've never had to fire anyone. Nobody actually enjoys it but sometimes its necessary. If expectations are not met this is probably the worst thing about the company. you'll hear people complain about work life balance in all reality those people don't understand how to prioritize their daily life. Try waking up before 11am and getting to work on time!
Advice to Management
Keep setting expectations and raising the bar year after year. Please have more team nights where we do team events like the escape rooms or hornets games those are fun for the family!
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at New Age Marketing Inc (Mint Hill, NC) in September 2017.
When I arrived at the office I had to fill out some paperwork prior to the interview. Before turning in the paperwork I had a question for the front desk. They replied in a very rude and condescending manner--so that set the tone. The guy who interviewed me was very nice. It was more of a get to know you conversation than an interview. But after about 5-10 minutes I knew I didn't want to move forward. He spent the majority of the time talking about one of the guys and his new Mercedes. He was also telling stories about getting more money and salaries but in a way that was so unappealing and unattractive. It was basically showing me that this is what they're about and this is how people are. That is not what I wanted at all. After the interview I was told I would be contacted if I made it to the next round. I received a call shortly after about scheduling another round of interviews. I decided to decline. There was no way I wanted to continue an interview process and ultimately work for a company that loves to talk about and flaunt money, cars etc. It was really tasteless.
