I have been working at New Balance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Schedule flexibility, happy culture, fun place to work for the most part. Many people stay for a long time.

    Cons

Many people stay for a long time, and become comfortable in their positions. This makes it very hard to move up and around. They have a set block of people who stay, while younger energetic people tend to have short stints, get frustrated by lack of mobility, and move out.

    Advice to Management

It takes money to make money. Invest in building the foundation of the company instead of hiring more sales people. There is a lot of work to be done systems-wise before the company can handle increased demand for product.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at New Balance (Boston, MA) in June 2015.

    Interview

In-person interview, very conversational, took about an hour. First met with HR recruiter and explained why I was interested in position/ why I was a good fit. Then met with 3 members of the marketing team for about 20-30 each. Discussed my general knowledge of the industry and brand, relevant experience from my resume and personal questions to see if I was a good match culturally for the team.
