One of the many differences that separates New Home Star from any other company in the industry is the dedication we place on developing our people and preparing them for the realm of sales. Every new hire undergoes a comprehensive 8-week paid training program that tackles the constantly-evolving challenges of the sales process. During this period, trainees receive one-on-one mentoring from our national network of mentors, are challenged frequently during field visits from our expert sales trainers, and are required to pass a robust final roleplay designed to guarantee preparedness for the sales floor.
This training program is supplemented by the most advanced online learning platform in the industry. Through New Home Connect™, users can access modules with hundreds of training videos, collaborate with peer groups, create dialogue with industry veterans, manage their community operations, and pursue personal development through marketing tools. New Home Connect™ is constantly refined, ensuring that it is potent in its ability to address every difficult situation faced by our sales agents.

I have been working at New Home Star full-time (More than a year)
This company is smart and fun! During the current pandemic it was like watching brilliance happen right in front of us as we had new training daily on how to continue to be successful in the changing climate we were in. The company didn't let not being able to get together in person stop us from having fun via Zoom and getting together to communicate what everyone was working on or completed so we always knew what was out there for us to continue to earn a living and connect with our peers. Just cannot say enough good things about the experience from when I started to now. This company is doing and will continue to to do great things in the industry of New Construction.
No micromanagement here. They arm you with the tools and expect you to use them. The cool thing is that if you ask for help, you have access to anyone in the company.
Advice to Management
Don't ever stop
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at New Home Star (Elmhurst, IL) in October 2019.
Initially, I had a preliminary phone interview, followed by a panel interview. I took a written proficiency test during the 1st interview and then two online tests. I was called back to schedule a 2nd in-office interview and met with a Manager and a Recruiter. The office staff is incredibly nice and you can tell that they support one another.
