I worked at New School part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing work environment created and enhanced by great supervisors. I've never felt so valued at my job as I did here.

    Cons

Unfair pay scale, oftentimes new people with no knowledge or experience in the position will get paid more than others that have been there for longer and actually know how to do their job. Compensation should be commensurate with the employee's relevant experience .

    Advice to Management

Direct management is great but the higher ups need to uphold the school's progressive tradition by respecting the unions and give fair contracts as demanded.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at New School (New York, NY) in April 2014.

    Interview

Panel of three or four people from management asking questions. Not more than an hour long. Applied online but didn't hear back for a few months. Had first interview with panel of people, and then a second interview with two individuals from higher management. was offered position and started two or three weeks later.
