    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at New York Institute of Technology (Old Westbury, NY).

    Interview

I received an email in regards to an interview. I responded & we set up the interview. The 2 interviewers were pleasant and the interview was short and sweet. I would have preferred that they knew exactly when the job would start but they did not have this info yet. I sent a thank you response expressing interest in the job, and never received any response. It is unprofessional and rude to not send a simple "Thank you for considering us but we have chosen a candidate who more closely fit our needs" email to someone who takes the time out to come interview with your company. I was very surprised that a college of this status lacks simple etiquette. It definitely lowered my opinion of this organization. It takes less than a minute to write a brief rejection email, even less if you have a template. I would not apply to this organization again based on my experience.
