I worked at New York Stem Cell Foundation as an intern
Friendly staff, passionate about their work, really exciting work environment.
Office staff needs more support.
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at New York Stem Cell Foundation (New York, NY) in April 2017.
Applied online with CV and cover letter. Was contacted a month later for a Skype interview, (no initial phone screen). Interview was conducted by lead scientist on project and director.
Interview itself was not challenging, last about 45 minutes and basic questions concerning previous research experience, where I see myself in 5 years. Interviewers were informative about the role and nice. However, the director was texting on her phone during part of the interview and did not seem very interested or engaged in the process.
Sent a thank you/follow up email within 24 hours, but they never contacted me back, even though at the end of the interview they said they would get back to candidates on their application status within one week. Overall, very unprofessional to take the time to conduct an interview then ghost the candidate.
