I've worked as a contractor before to contracting companies who profess to "be there" for their contractors, only to find out once it's too late that the contracting company in actuality is there SOLELY to serve the needs of the client company they have matched you up with. NewData Strategies cares about meeting the needs of their contractors AND their client companies, checking in frequently with both parties, offering practical support and advice whenever needed. I've never known it to take more than three hours to receive a personal response any time I have contacted them with a question or concern.
Unlike some contracting companies that offer benefits and insurance to steadily employed contractors, NewData Strategies does not offer any type of benefits, not even access to insurance at a discounted rate. Also, at times it is inconvenient to be paid on the 10th and 25th of each month instead of the expected 15th and last of month.
Advice to Management
Find a way to offer SOME type of benefits to steadily employed contractors- when a client company is closed for a holiday, so your contractors CANNOT work, you should pay them a day of holiday pay. Being out an entire day of pay when you are prevented by the client company from working because they choose to close down should not create such a hardship for your contractors. Other contracting companies offer this, again, to STEADILY EMPLOYED contractors.
