    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at NewGen Technologies (Maryland) in February 2015.

    Interview

The interview process is rather easy and basically comprises of 3 rounds namely-
    1.written/aptitude round,
    2.pyschometric round,
3.Technical cum HR round.(Sometimes both are taken separately.Depending on the no. of individuals selected for this round. )
First round comprises of two parts:-
a.) The first part is usual aptitude round comprising of quantative analysis, logical reasoning, verbal ability and miscellaneous questions.
b.) The second part is for judging your technical skills and comprises questions from OS,Compiler Design,Software design,Data structures,DBMS.
Questions like predict the output are quite common and abundant.
Overall Difficulty of this round is EASY.It's an elimination round and all questions are objective.
The second round is just to know about your personality and thinking and to test whether you can adjust with your co-workers in the organisation.
Questions like what is more important your self respect or accepting that you are wrong about something are asked again and again to see if you deflect from your formal answer.
The trick is to deflect as little as possible from your formal answer as it means you are not faking it and you are what you are posing to be.It's also an elimination round,so be alert!! Questions again are objective and difficulty is EASY too.
The third round is the most difficult one in all the three rounds.the interviewer asks questions related to programming and DBMS aqnd sometimes may go deep to test the level of your knowledge.Keep calm and do not hesitate to say "i don't know, sir" as it is far better than trying to beat the bush.Every interviewer likes honesty and values his time. Moreover will get less irritated with you.Doesn't mean you DON'T answer at all. Please try your best.Keep interviewer interested!!.
HR would ask you questions from your resume (like hobbies, weaknesses, strong points). So take a good look at your resume before going for the interview.I was asked to name my favourite football team alongwith it's captain and other team players.I was able to name the captain and 6 other players which satisfied the interviewer. It's an elimination round again and difficulty level is AVERAGE.
Don't panic,be cool and calm and polite.Make sure you don't stop explaining until the interviewer tell u so or is satisfied.
Overall the interview process will go about 2 days.Don't worry will little preparation you can easily succeed.
Looking forward to meet you.Best of luck!!
