I have been working at NewNet Communication Technologies full-time (More than a year)
Good people to work with. Flexibility in hours and work environment. Plenty of opportunity to step up and do something different.
If you don't like change this is not the company for you. This is a venture capital company that buys EOL products and products that were losing money. Employees however need to adjust to what that means..ie there is going to be restructuring and changes because the product was bleeding money when it was taken over. They have managed to turn companies around and make them profitable but it's painful and many employees can't deal with the changes required to make that happen. The downsizing also has the negative impact of turf wars.. people helping out is often interfered with by management who fear they may not get to get credit for something their person did.
Advice to Management
Set expectations better... Rose colored glasses doesn't help any employee. Also need to reevaluate benefit packages as they are pretty slim. Lastly need to foster a culture of unity across the teams so resources are better shared vs. People thinking someone is taking away someone elses job.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at NewNet Communication Technologies (Lombard, IL) in June 2015.
Was declined at the initial phone interview. The hiring manager first told me something about the company, then let me to introduce myself. He wanted me to answer a "quick question" about my immigration status. When he knew that I held F-1 visa, he said that the company didn't offer sponsorship, then the conversation ended. Hope they can tell their candidate about this when making a phone interview appointment.
