I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Newgistics (Austin, TX) in October 2017.
Initially was reached out to by a recruiter. The recruiter was pretty nice and talked me through the process.
Had another phone conversation a couple of days later with the hiring manager and thought he was pretty nice too.
Several days after that, I got to the final round interview on site. I saw the place and thought it was a pretty neat place. I met several of the people in the department and thought they would be good people to work with.
After the interview, I was told by the hiring manager that I would hear from them in a week. I follow up a week later and hear from the recruiter that they have one more person to interview and that she would keep me posted.
Unfortunately, I didn't hear from the recruiter. I am not happy about the fact that I had one recruiter, one phone and that I drove 45 minutes to a final interview and get ghosted. This is unacceptable.
I hope that if anyone makes it to a final interview that they aren't treated with this much disrespect. I also hope that the CEO or an executive officer reads this review and holds this recruiter and the hiring manager accountable for this.
