Interview
I was interviewed by the recruiter and two C-suite leadership team members. I was told I did very well after the first two rounds. After the third interview, I was ghosted by the recruiter. It wasn't a surprising outcome because the third interviewer repeated several times that they enjoyed firing people and asked me questions and then interrupted me while I was giving my answer. We were 100 percent aligned on the answer, but I was sure it could have gone better based on their demeanor. I was utterly certain things were not going well when this person asserted that I could not possibly have done something I did and am pretty proud of. I would have happily provided proof and references (some of whom are already 1st connections in this person's LinkedIn network) to verify my accomplishments. My assessment of this process is that it was rough, given the seniority of the position and the undoubted talent on the slate. I also question the leadership abilities of someone so blatantly disrespectful.Interview- Tell me about yourself; I know nothing about you. - Tell me why you have employment gaps (pandemic?)? - How many people were you supporting in XYZ role? (This is where I was told I couldn't have done such a thing.)
