I worked at NextEra Energy, Inc. full-time (More than a year)
Good team environment, depending on the site. Yearly offers for professional development. Get out what you put in. A lot to learn and easy to move up. Tuition reimbursement program. Nice time off package. Reimbursement for work boots. Yearly allowance for cold weather gear.
Your working in a Wind turbine. If its cold outside, its cold in the turbine. If its hot outside, its HOTTER in the turbine. Maintenance services will either make or break you. Can be monotonous at times. Wind Energy still relatively young technology, always looking for ways to cut operation costs. Not a lot of OT.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at NextEra Energy, Inc..
I meet the NextEra company at a college career fair. I was asked to interview the next day and interviewed. The interview was more conversational then a interview where someone is actually grilling you and asking hard questions. It was pretty easy. The next step I took was applying for the actual position online and taking the virtual interview. There were 3 real response and like 4 multiple choice type questions.
