Tomas Gorny  

CEO

Tomas is the Chairman / CEO of Nextiva's parent company, Unitedweb. He has a 15-year track record of investing in, building, and leading high-performing technology and Internet companies. His entrepreneurial background includes launching Trendsetter and IPOWER. In 2007, he orchestrated the merger between IPOWER and Endurance International Group. He creates the vision while managing the business strategy for Nextiva. You can also frequently find Tomas rolling up his sleeves in day-to-day activities.

Tomas is recognized as an industry leader and has been featured in dozens of magazines, including Entrepreneur and Inc. He is a board member and investor for several companies including Endurance along with Goldman Sachs and Warburg Pincus.

He serves as chairman and board member to all Unitedweb companies.


Tracy Conrad 

President

Tracy is President of Nextiva, where he serves as an executive and marketing advisor. Tracy began his entrepreneurial career in 1991 when he founded Conrad and Associates, a data aggregator. He entered the Internet arena in 1995 when he founded the Blitz Network, a web advertising agency that was subsequently acquired. In 2001, Tracy co-founded IPOWER, the second largest web hosting company in the U.S.

As President of Nextiva, Tracy is instrumental in building a customer base more than 80,000 strong and establishing Nextiva as one of the top cloud-based telephone providers in the country.


Josh Lesavoy 

Chief Information Officer

Josh joined Nextiva in 2007 and currently serves as Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for directing the company's technology planning and investments. Josh manages the data center operations and all relationships with carriers and vendors. Josh also places a key role in strategic planning and product development.

Josh brings 20+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering mission critical voice and data systems to business markets. He started his first technology company while a Computer Sciences undergraduate at Embry-Riddle University in Arizona.


Colleen Fritz 

Chief Financial Officer

Colleen joined the company in 2007 and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Nextiva and all Unitedweb companies. Colleen is responsible for the financial leadership of the business and assisting the team with strategy, vision, and execution. She also manages the company's legal and regulatory compliance, financial operations and accounting.

Colleen has 20+ years of financial and operations management experience in both public and private companies. She holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

 


Yaniv Masjedi

Chief Marketing Officer

Yaniv joined Nextiva in 2008 and currently serves as Vice President of Marketing. He manages Nextiva's marketing and branding efforts by working to create strategies that drive awareness, strengthen the Nextiva brand and share the story of the company's unique customer-centric culture, known as "Amazing Service™." He also initiates and manages programs related to brand management, demand generation, and advertising. In addition to his duties at Nextiva, Yaniv is a well-known business thought leader and regularly contributes articles to publications including Huffington Post, Salesforce Blog, AllBusiness, and Under30CEO.

Yaniv studied Political Science and History at UCLA.

    Pros

    Nextiva is a very fast moving / competitive leader in the industry expanding far beyond voip technologies. Priorities, direction of work and time-lines can and do change as the market demands for it. This is directly reflected on the development team.

    Some would view this as a Con but to me this is definitely what makes working here challenging and fulfilling. You're not sitting at your desk doing the same 'black box' work every day. Everything you do is directly reflected in other departments - sales, support, etc - you see it in action every day. You hear the kudos and the criticism - and both is great for growth and knowing you're doing well at your job.

    There is a ton of opportunity for growth and this is directly, just like any other company, related to your drive and to how much work / responsibility you're willing to take on. Hard work and dedication does pay off.

    Challenges - a definite pro IMO. There's never a shortage of learning new things and expanding your knowledge. I've learned a lot since I started working here and definitely built up my skill-set more than I would ever expect.

    People - great! Nextiva's development team has grown significantly and everyone gets along pretty well. Great interaction with other departments as well. People are friendly and everyone is always willing to help before you even ask for it.

    Compensation - work hard + produce results = how you get to where you want to be. Nextiva is competitive in this respect.

    Perks? Yes there are perks to working for Nextiva and it's all about great people to me. There are company organized lunches, breakfast, bagels, ice cream etc - but those things IMO shouldn't be considered an expectation. It's simply a way for Nextiva to give an extra thanks for hard work.

    Overall? Would I do this again? Most definitely! All things considered, this is the job I've been looking for and definitely see myself being here for a long time. Finding a good work/life balance is important for any job. Set yourself up for success and work efficiently and you will achieve that.

    Cons

    I really don't have anything bad to say. Nextiva is a business. Growth takes being nimble, flexible, a team player as well as having talent. It only makes sense to demand same of your employees. In return you get all the pros I mentioned above. Nothing unusual here.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing whatever you're doing. We've come a long way.

    I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Nextiva (Scottsdale, AZ).

    Interview

    I remember the process being straight forward. I met with a few managers. They asked about my sales experience, work ethic, work history, goals, interest and knowledge about the company, stuff like that. The site to initially apply online was a hurdle and not the easiest place to apply. After that I talked to a girl on the phone that asked me background questions and arranged for my next meeting with the sales managers. All of the sales managers asked similar questions. I didn't feel like they were trying to trick me at the time. Straight forward.
