Niagara Conservation – Why Work For Us?

Thank you for checking out our blog! You'll find periodic updates on whats happening at Niagara!

We're Out To Save The World!
...Or At Least Its Water.

For some companies, conservation is a pleasant byproduct—a feather in the cap for “corporate responsibility.”

At Niagara, it’s the very first thing on our list.

It’s a simple equation: Without water, there is no life. And our supply—both locally and globally—is getting smaller by the minute. For us, this isn’t just a job. It’s a mission. The flip side is, we also like inventing stuff. So, if we can apply our imagination and technical skills to something that actually benefits the planet?…Win/win!

We think hard, dream big, and engineer for the future. We design for beauty, build for longevity, and test like there’s no tomorrow. And we’re always looking for smart, passionate people to join our team.

The way we figure it, the more brains the better.

Our Values

*We act with INTEGRITY in all our business practices.

*We COMMUNICATE openly and candidly with customers, vendors and employees.

*We treat each other with RESPECT.

*We FOCUS on the customer’s needs and expectations.

* We have a can do ATTITUDE.

                             OUR STORY

We Know It’s Not Very Original, But It All Started In A Garage...

Our founder, Bill Cutler, is what you could call an obsessive tinkerer. As a champion of water conservation long before it was cool, that obsession often turned to the showerhead. “Why should something so simple be so wasteful?”

That curiosity soon grew into an all-consuming quest to build the greatest water-saving product in history. Bill quickly began to accumulated dozens, even hundreds, of showerheads in his home garage to explore their inner-workings. All that tinkering paid off in 1977, when he developed the first Niagara showerhead—a watershed moment in every day conservation.

Forty years later, that scrappy, one-man operation has grown into a multi-million-dollar organization. The Niagara name has become synonymous with innovative conservation for a growing customer base of utility companies, government leaders, energy management officials, and eco/cost-conscious homeowners and developers.

Today—as climate change, population growth, and record droughts present an unprecedented strain on our water supply—we are more obsessed than ever. Niagara is doubling down on our purpose and pushing our technology to invent new ways for our customers to conserve water without sacrificing performance

Melissa Flagstad - Business Development Manager

Orange County, CA

I left Business Development in the Insurance industry to restart in the Water Conservation industry.  Lucky for me, I picked the right company to do it - Niagara.  Drought or no drought, year round, I’ve got service and product offerings to be proud of talking to owners and investors about.  It’s no surprise this company has such great longevity – the product development team never sleeps.  And my boss is a stand-up guy.  Congratulations if you find a job here.

Shane Miller - Vice President of Sales

Flower Mound, TX

I have truly enjoyed my time working for Niagara Conservation. From a sales perspective, it is awesome to have such cutting edge products and tremendous demand from consumers.

If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong work ethic, and are not afraid to "think outside the box", Niagara Conservation is a fantastic and lucrative place to work.

With all of the current drought situations currently happening in the US, it is a great time to be in the water conservation business!

Natasha Wilson - Accounts Payable Associate

I love working at Niagara!  My boss is super AWESOME and I love the people I work with. You’re not just an employee here, you become part of the NCC family from the start.

We work hard, but play hard too!

Sal Pennachio - Customer Service Manager & International Sales

Cedar Knolls, NJ

I can honestly say that I believe 120% in what Niagara Conservation stands and strives for. I've been here for 6 years and love the people I work with and the conservation efforts Niagara has made. We stand behind our product and have a dedicated Customer Service and Sales staff to help promote this. Everbody wins when dealing with Niagara Conservation: our customers, end users and especially Mother Earth.

I started here as a temp supervising a customer service team for a special program we were running, fast forward 6 years later and I now manage Customer Service for all of Niagara and I'm also the International Sales Rep. I recently was awarded a certificate of appreciation for work performance and making a continuous commitment to Niagara Conservation.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Niagara Conservation (Cedar Knolls, NJ) in November 2008.

I was recruited to Niagara. After passing a phone interview and a review of my sales accomplishments from my current employer I was offered a position with the company.

No negotiations. Salary and commission structure or nothing.
