I have been working at Nidec full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Everyone has a chance for advancement if you want it and work hard enough. First place I've ever been that gave me a chance to become anything beside just a worker. Most of the employees get along pretty well but its a factory. Vacation and PTO time as well as good benefits like medical, HSA, vision, dental and 401K plans. Overtime is always available if you want it.

    Cons

Management doesn't treat valued employees like they are valued. They hear what you say but don't want to listen. They complain about part quality at meetings but it is hard to have quality parts when they have molds that run like crap. So they often make it feel like it is everyone else's fault. They do not have a competitive pay scale so it is hard to keep people and often run short on people, which makes it harder on everyone else.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps the management and HR should pay more attention to what people are doing on their computers all day, instead of doing their work and making others do their work. Especially when they are only a temp. You should perhaps spend a little more time appreciating your long time valued employees instead of pushing them off. Over staff until you find who is going to work. Stop being so short changed and give your valued employees better pay and not take so long on your hiring process. That's a huge reason we lose people.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Nidec (Braintree, MA) in May 2015.

    Interview

Brought into interview process by recruiter, interviewer asked questions about background. Described what role would involve. Met with person who was leaving role. Had phone interview with National Sales manager. This company obviously was in hurry to fill role. Made comment that they received very few resumes from recruiter
