Nordic’s Mission

We exist to enable the best possible experiences and outcomes for patients and their families.

Nordic consultants help healthcare organizations improve the health of their patients and business through EHR and ERP expertise, strategy, and managed services.

We put relationships above everything, creating meaningful partnerships with clients and our KLAS-proven consultants to achieve unparalleled results.

Beyond that, no one can deliver end-to-end solutions, customized to client-specific needs, like Nordic.

Our vision is a healthcare system where

  • Patients receive the most efficient and effective care.
  • Patients are delighted by every interaction – from the first contact to billing to follow-up and prevention. Patients feel the organizational compassion at every step in the care continuum.
  • Continuous process improvement is fully embraced by the interdisciplinary team of clinicians, operations, and IT.
  • Every ounce of technology is thoughtfully purchased, implemented, and used to its full potential, supporting those cross-functional teams in best practice, evidence-based workflows.
  • Technology is so well-aligned with the process of care that it becomes almost invisible to the users.

We'll continually improve our solution offerings towards this vision, listening carefully to our client partners for the cues on how to best adapt.

Work with the best

We set ourselves apart through the people we work alongside and the outcomes we achieve together.

Nordic is more than just a consultancy — it’s a culture we've cultivated to give passionate people a platform to expand their skill sets, apply their expertise, build new relationships, and achieve results that shape the future of healthcare. That culture encompasses everyone under our roof and our consultants out in the field.

NOTE: Our partnerships are extremely important to us. These positions are not intended for anyone who is currently under a non-compete agreement or has an arrangement that precludes employment at Nordic. We appreciate your help in respecting our partners.

Top dollar for top talent

We want the smartest people in healthcare on our team. That’s why we provide great compensation for your industry-leading work.

For our consultants, we offer the choice of hourly or salaried compensation depending on your needs. Go hourly for maximum earning potential and contract flexibility, or enjoy stability in compensation and excellent benefits through our salaried model.

Either way, transparency is central to our compensation model. We share our rates with every consultant to guarantee no surprises at any time. Add that to our straightforward expense procedures, and what you see is what you get. Literally.

  • Training and certification opportunities
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching

No on supports you like we do

At Nordic, we put our consultants first. Because without great people, we couldn’t deliver the outstanding Epic support and consulting services our clients have come to expect. Our priority is providing you with a better work-life balance and better opportunities, so you can actually enjoy coming to work each day. Count on one-on-one support, accessible executive and client teams, and knowledgeable colleagues to be there when you need them, wherever you need them.

Nordic was founded by former consultants. So we understand the challenges you face in the industry—long hours, extended travel schedules, time away from home. Rather than approach staffing to fill gaps, we look for top-tier talent and work with each of our candidates to understand his or her needs and goals. We’ll only submit you for positions that you agree to, to find the best fit for you and our clients.

Supporting the communities in which we live and work

Our passion extends well beyond what we do at Nordic to impact the communities we're a part of. Here's what we're doing to do uphold our social responsibility and promote corporate citizenship in our area.

Organizing a national Community Giveback Week

Every year, Nordic takes time off from improving healthcare to gives back to the local communities in which we live and work. We organize service projects across the country where employees donate their day to a variety of non-profit organizations. It's grown from a single day in Madison to an entire week of volunteer efforts across the country. Employees choose where to serve and work together to make our communities a better place to live and work.

Encouraging employee involvement in non-profit activities

We recognize the mutual benefit of a vibrant community and a thriving business. We support these efforts by

  • Giving employees the freedom to get involved in the organizations that best match their interests
  • Allowing employees to donate their time in a manner that works with their schedule (whether during the workweek or during free time)
  • Assisting with communication and organization around non-profit events
  • Sponsoring and helping promote select events with high employee involvement

Donating our expertise

We work with non-profit organizations in the areas of health and wellness to match our employees with initiatives that benefit from our healthcare and health IT expertise. For example, we worked alongside the HungerCare Coalition to promote the treatment of food insecurity as medical issue which could be tracked in electronic health records. We engaged the coalition to help with strategy and offer insight into productive approaches to working with health organizations.

Sponsoring select organizations whose goals align with ours

We sponsor a limited number of local and national organizations whose goals align with improving preventative health (with a specific focus on hunger, education, and empowerment) and the continual improvement of the healthcare IT industry. If you’d like to discuss opportunities to partner on these types of initiatives, drop us a line and we'll be in touch.

Professional development is a main focus at Nordic. We understand that everyone has different goals and aspirations, so employees work directly with their managers to develop their own professional development plan.

In April of 2016, Nordic U was launched to provide our employees continued development not only in work but in their personal lives as well. Some courses provided through Nordic U are, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Getting Things Done - productivity tips and tricks, Basic Project Management Skills, Receiving Feedback, Assuming the Best in Others, Being Well in the Workplace, and specific industry training among many others.

Furthermore, Nordic developed a formal training program for our consultants who are interested in gaining experience working in one of our business lines, Affiliate Solutions. The leaders of our Affiliate team hold periodic training sessions in our home office to teach our consultants how to become leaders when implementing or extending an EHR for clients and their affiliates/merged/acquired organizations.

    Account Manager Interview

    Average Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nordic Consulting Partners (Madison, WI) in October 2015.

I was referred by a friend who loved Nordic. I did a short application online (just submitted a resume), was contacted for a phone interview with HR to tell me more about the role, my pay expectations, and background. Then I came in for an in-person panel interview with an Account Director, supervisor, and two current AMs. They asked a few standard situational questions and the atmosphere was light and upbeat.
I recommend reading about their maxims beforehand and being yourself during the interview process.
